If you are interested, please request me as a friend (Chris Blanke) to get daily info. The big news was the Worlds in Cali this past June. Xande took second in his weight and third in the open. He has not competed in the gi since 2008 and still only lost by an advantage in the open and 2 points in his weight final. Already this year, Rafael has medaled in the Pan Ams, Brazilian Nationals and the Worlds, he is a great warrior for the Gracie Humatia/Ribeiro Team!! - (go to ibjjf.org for all the results) Toronto BJJ Black Belt and head instructor Jorge Britto fought in Canada at the W-1 event on June 19th and won a unanimous decision. Jorge also competed in the worlds earlier that month. Jorge is another major soldier in our Gracie Humatia/Ribeiro Association!! Congrats bro!!! torontobjj.com. Xande will be competing in Cali on July 10th and 11th in the 32 Man Worlds Best Grappler Tournament. The tourney will be no gi and the winner gets $10,000.00. Baddog MMA News: Baddogfc.com Team Baddog showed its teeth again on June 12th at Headliners fighting in another well ran Ground and Pound event. Jake Kraus (7-2) lost a close decision; losing the first and third rounds while winning the second. It was a great title fight and Jake will be getting another shot as his opponent will be turning pro. Jay Willman entertained as he won a hard fought unanimous decision. It was a back and forth fight and the crowd went crazy. Jay improved his record to 8-1. The final Baddog Fighter was Ray Hernendez (7-1). He fought a guy who he was beating until late in the 3rd round and was caught in a triangle choke. This time Ray looked his best ever and the poor guy never stood a chance. Ray brought home the Belt and is the Ground and Pounds 155 lb Champion. Congrats to all three as the TEAM is back with Jacob Draves and Craig Hogan returning to inflict some pain as well. The next event is the NAAFS here in Toledo August 7th at Headliners, with Jake, Jacob, Ray and Craig all fighting on the card!!! Great job to trainer /Coach Kelly Hymore for producing such good fighters. You are the man! Go to Baddogfc.com and baddog mma on facebook for updates!
